Home Depot Credit and Debit Card Breach

Security Notice - September 4, 2014

USU Credit Union, a division of Goldenwest, has been advised that Home Depot stores nationwide were hit by an extensive theft of customers’ credit card and debit card data for an unspecified period of time. The Goldenwest Fraud Department is working diligently to determine the impact of this theft on our members.

If your card has been compromised:

Goldenwest will contact members impacted by the credit and debit card breach through email and/or personal phone calls;

Members impacted by the breach are encouraged to visit any Goldenwest or USU Credit Union branch to request your existing credit and/or debit cards are blocked. We will block the card(s), and instantly issue you a new card(s) at the branch; and,

The situation is evolving and we will post new information as it becomes available.

How to Report Suspicious Activity

If you have received a suspicious e-mail or other fraudulent correspondence regarding USU Credit Union, please forward it to phishing@usucu.org.
