    A 14 year-old young man by the name of Phoenix Oswill recently opened a savings account to help prepare for his financial future. Unbeknownst to him at the time, Phoenix became our 100,000th member. We thanked Phoenix for helping us achieve this historic milestone by opening a $500 Flex CD in his name.

    In so many ways, 2014 was a tremendously successful and historic year for Goldenwest Credit Union. Thanks to our strategic merger with USU Credit Union, historically low rates combined with an optimistic economic outlook, and the extraordinary efforts of our employees, Goldenwest has achieved success across a broad array of financial metrics.

    I was among the thousands of Goldenwest members who were notified last month that my personal Visa card information may have been compromised as a result of making a purchase at Home Depot. More than 56 million credit and debit card customers have been affected by this massive data breach.
