Goldenwest Honored with Diamond Award
OGDEN, UT: April 10, 2019 – Goldenwest Credit Union was recently honored with a Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,300 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 36 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.
Goldenwest won a Diamond Award in the Complete Campaign category for credit union’s holding greater than $1 billion in assets. The Credit Union’s Marketing and Payment Services Departments collaborated on a multi-media campaign encouraging their members to choose their Goldenwest credit and/or debit cards as their preferred payment method when shopping online during the 2018 “Amazon Prime Day”.
“Our analytics indicate that Goldenwest members are frequent and loyal online shoppers, with a significant spike in online purchases during Amazon Prime Day,” stated Diana Windley, Senior Vice President at Goldenwest. “With the goal of providing additional value to members who shop online, we created a promotional campaign that provided extra incentives for members who utilized their Goldenwest Visa cards for Amazon Prime Day specials.”
Windley noted that the results far exceeded their expectations with an increased purchase card volume of 127 percent over the previous year’s campaign.

Award winners were recognized at the Council’s 26th Annual Conference held March 20-23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
