Goldenwest Celebrates Hurricane Branch Ribbon Cutting
HURRICANE, UTAH: October 27, 2026 – Goldenwest Credit Union celebrated the ribbon cutting of its Hurricane branch on October 26, welcoming community leaders, educators and local residents. The branch is Goldenwest’s fifth location in Washington County and one of 55 branches across Utah and Idaho.
Representatives from the Hurricane Chamber of Commerce joined local elected officials for the celebration, including Senator Evan Vickers, Mayor Clark Fawcett, Councilman Dave Imlay and Councilman Lynn Excell.
During the event, Goldenwest presented a $2,500 donation to the Washington County Schools Foundation to support financial literacy at nearby Hurricane High School. Members of the school’s cheer team joined administrators and teachers for the presentation, celebrating an investment in students’ financial knowledge and skills.
In his remarks, Goldenwest Board Chairman Dan Musgrave reflected on the credit union’s 90-year history, which began with railway workers coming together to support their co-workers and community. He noted that the same spirit continues to guide Goldenwest today.
President and CEO David Butterfield emphasized that Goldenwest’s brand promise, “We’ll Take Care of You,” is more than a tagline. It reflects a commitment to building relationships with local residents, business owners and civic leaders to help strengthen the communities Goldenwest serves.
Located at 28 North 2000 West, the Hurricane branch is led by Branch Manager Carrie Hill. The branch offers a comprehensive range of financial services, including auto and home loans, free checking accounts, instantly issued Visa cards, and insurance products.
