Goldenwest Named Best of State for the 14th Time

Salt Lake City – June 2, 2026 – Goldenwest Credit Union has been honored with two “Best of State” awards, marking its 14th win in the Consumer Services category and its 1st win in the Business Services category.

The dual recognition reflects Goldenwest’s continued commitment to providing exceptional financial services for individuals, families, and businesses throughout Utah and Idaho.  

“For 90 years, Goldenwest has remained focused on taking care of our members and strengthening the communities we serve,” said Goldenwest President and CEO David Butterfield. “These awards reflect the dedication of our employees and the trust our members have placed in us. Goldenwest was founded in 1936 by a group of Ogden railroad workers who came together to create better financial opportunities for one another. The credit union has carried that people-helping-people philosophy through nine decades of service and growth. Today, Goldenwest continues to build upon its foundation by understanding and responding to the unique needs of the members and businesses it serves.

The 2026 Best of State Awards recognized winners for measurable impact, industry excellence, and creative contributions. Goldenwest was recognized alongside other award recipients at the Best of State Gala in Salt Lake City on June 2, 2026.
