Stay Safe from Fraud

At Goldenwest Credit Union, your security is our top priority. As fraud tactics continue to evolve, it's more important than ever to stay alert—especially during evenings, weekends, and holidays when our branches and service centers may be closed.

Reminder: We Will Never Ask for Your Authentication Code

If you receive a phone call, text, or email claiming to be from Goldenwest and asking for your authentication code, hang up immediately. This is a scam. Fraudsters may spoof phone numbers to make it look like the call is coming from us. They may sound professional and convincing—but remember, we will never call or message you asking for:

  • Your authentication code
  • Online banking credentials
  • Full debit or credit card numbers
  • PINs or CVV codes
  • Social Security Numbers

Be Extra Cautious on Holidays and After Hours

Fraud attempts often increase when financial institutions are closed. Scammers take advantage of the fact that you can’t quickly verify suspicious activity with a representative. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts. It’s better to pause and verify than to fall victim to a scam.

Protect Yourself:

  • Never share your authentication code with anyone.
  • Don’t click suspicious links or attachments.
  • Contact us directly at 801-621-4550 if you're unsure.
  • Monitor your accounts regularly for unauthorized transactions.

If you ever suspect fraud or have questions about account security, please contact us at 801-621-4550 immediately. Your vigilance is the best defense against fraud.

Stay safe, stay smart—and know we’ve got your back.
