USU Credit Union Signs Justin Bean to Licensing Deal

LOGAN, UT: November 15, 2021 – USU Credit Union has teamed up with Utah State University’s men’s basketball team-captain and power forward, Justin Bean, in a multi-year licensing deal to promote the Credit Union to the USU community.

“Justin is a solid fit for USU Credit Union,” remarked David Butterfield, USU Credit Union Division President. “Not only does he have a lot of Aggie fans, but he’s also engaged in the community. He has a work ethic we all admire and love.”

USU Credit Union’s affiliation with Utah State University originated in 1957 when two college professors established the Credit Union on campus. USU Credit Union has a long history of sponsoring Utah State events, with Justin Bean as the first student-athlete the Credit Union has signed under new legal ruling that allows companies and institutions to compensate college student athletes for using their name, image and likeness in exchange for endorsements.

USU Credit Union is hosting a free greet-and-sign event with Justin Bean at their campus branch on November 30th. Justin will be available to sign autographs, take photos, and chat with fans from 9 a.m. until noon. The Credit Union will provide free donuts, hot chocolate, and SWAG to all guests during the event.

The USU Credit Union campus branch is located at 890 East 700 North in Logan inside the Utah State University Alumni Welcome Center, northeast of the Taggart Student Center. USU Credit Union operates as a division of Goldenwest Credit Union.
